Testing the Go Mic by Samson and Feeling groovy
I bought the Samson Go Mic about a week ago. The problem is that my Laptop only has a very lousy soundchip. All recordings done with mics that use standard chinch plugs had very annoying background noises. Therefore, I looked for a USB-mic since those come with their own soundchip and don’t use the hardware of the computer. This little mic is nearly as small as a matchbox but is just awesome. The only thing I haven’t got around yet is why it always sounds as if I’m lisping. Other people who used the mic on Youtube do not have that problem. My friend Aidan, however, once reassured me that I do NOT lisp when speaking English. Long story short, it must be the mic or the mixing with the software. As for the example below, I recorded the first voice (Paul Simon) plus the guitar first. Then, I sang the harmonies (Art Garfunkel). Finally, I created the ending bit which is my very own invention and consists of five overlapping soundbits. This is my first recording and I don’t claim to be a great musician! Have fun anyway…
